Below are some of WWOA’s On-Going opportunities. If a committee you’re interested in isn’t listed, please don’t hesitate to contact us and fill out an interest form. Committees are always looking for new ideas, skills, and points of view! If an on-going position you’re interested in is already filled, don’t worry! Many volunteer positions are annually occurring. Contact Häven, the Volunteer Coordinator if you would like more information or have any questions.

Fundraising Committee
Help keep WWOA’s funds rising! Team up with other WWOA members to coordinate the annual fundraiser and the year-end appeal for donations. Share your ideas with us and see what you can do to help keep WWOA’s funds growing, so we can continue supporting our members and mission.

Gift Shop Committee
At WWOA’s gift shop you can find an assortment of items from clothing and books to playing cards and signs. The best part? All of the proceeds go right back into supporting WWOA programs! Help choose and design items you think should be offered in our shop. Normally the gift shop runs online, but functions in person at meetings and conferences and is a great way to talk to other members. We’ll also be looking for item ideas to make WWOA’s approaching 40th anniversary special.

If you’d like to learn more about the Wisconsin Woodlands magazine and assist with its quarterly production, let us know. The WWOA publication committee meets in March, June, and December to discuss all things Wisconsin Woodlands, and they welcome your ideas, submissions, and perspectives to continue creating this WWOA favorite.

Website Committee Member
Do you consider yourself a little more tech savvy? Interested in the maintenance of our Facebook page and website? WWOA uses these platforms to keep members updated on natural resources information and news. Join our website committee to help us post photos, events, links, and news about your favorite topics. Maybe you consider yourself a little less tech savvy? That’s great, too! We need people proofread the website for spelling and grammar errors, and make sure links posted in on Resources page are up to date. The majority of work can be done from home on your personal computer; just join us at the committee’s up to three meetings per year in the Stevens Point area.
