On February 16, 2024, the companion bill to Senate Bill 999 (Motorized vehicles on Open MFL lands), Assembly Bill 1093, was read for the first time and referred to the Assembly Committee on Forestry, Parks and Outdoor Recreation. This Committee is chaired by long-time forestry advocate, Representative Mursau from Crivitz. Committee members include Representative Callahan of Tomahawk, Representative Bodden of Hilbert, Representative Edming of Glen Flora , Representative Green of Grand View, Representative Moses of Menomonie, Representative Pronschinske of Mondovi , Representative Swearingen of Rhinelander, Representative Tittl of Manitowoc, Representative Tusler of Harrison , Representative Snodgrass of Appleton, Representative Andraca of Whitefish Bay, Representative Bare of Verona, Representative Joers of Middleton, and Representative Palmeri of Oshkosh.
