Lilli Shea, Marinette – passed away February 2, 2020.  Lilli and her husband, Jim, were long-time WWOA members and Phoenix Falls Chapter members.  Visitation services are scheduled for Friday, February 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, 610 Marinette Avenue, Marinette, WI.  Memorial donations in Lilli’s name should be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3313 Packerland Drive E, De Pere, WI 54115.

Robert Olson, Seeley – passed away June 22, 2019.  Robert “Bob” served as a WWOA Board Member from 1995-1998.  He was the founding President of the WWOA Northwest Chapter.  Noted in foreign affairs circles in his own right, Bob’s passion for his woodland came from his father, Sigurd Olson.  Sigurd was a noted American author, environmentalist, and advocate for the protection of wilderness.  In 1998, Bob created the Listening Point Foundation in Ely, MN to…

Author Bruce Grierson published an article called “The Kid in You” in Psychology Today, that sparked an interest with us at WWOA.  Grierson poses the question, “What if what we loved doing between ages 9 and 11, is what most of us ought to be doing for our actual jobs as adults?” Could you dig deep and recall what you were doing at age 10? USDA Invites Input on Environmental Quality Incentives Program Rule

Contact: FPAC.BC.Press@usda.gov   WASHINGTON, D.C., December 16, 2019 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) seeks public comments on its interim rule for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), USDA’s flagship program that helps producers plan and implement 150-plus conservation practices on working lands. The rule – now available on the Federal Register – takes effect upon publication and includes changes to the program prescribed by the 2018 Farm Bill.
