James “Jim” Kingsbury, Mountain…age 85, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2025, with family by his side after a period of illness.
Beyond his work, Jim was deeply connected to the outdoors. As an active member of the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, he found joy in learning about caring for woodlands and enthusiastically shared his knowledge with others. He also loved traveling and, most of all, spending time with his family. Jim will be remembered for his hard work, his love of the outdoors, and the devotion he showed to his family and friends.
Jim was an active WWOA Phoenix Falls Chapter board member and WWOA volunteer. He served on several annual meeting planning committees, helped with fund raising, and always attended WWOA’s Annual Meetings.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home (116 South Krueger Street, Suring, WI 54174) from 9 am until the memorial service at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, Inc., P.O. Box 285, Stevens Point, WI 54481-0285, in memory of James Kingsbury.
