Carol M. Carey, Campbellsport…age 94, peacefully ended her journey on earth and entered eternal life on January 25, 2026, at home and surrounded by her loving family.
Carol grew up on the family farm in the Town of Eden, where she learned the value of hard work. Carol lived a life rooted in faith and devotion to Christ. In 1971, Carol began a lifelong practice of yoga, dedicating herself to years of workshops, study and teaching. Above all, Carol was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love was steady, generous, and unconditional, and her family was her greatest joy.
She worked side by side with her husband, Royal, in their many business ventures. No task was ever too big or too small-whether trimming tree roots, mowing for hours, or keeping the books. Carol and Royal were true partners in all things. Carol and Royal were charter members of Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association. They were very active in the Winnebagoland Chapter, serving as chapter officers. Carol was served on the WWOA Board of Directors from 1997-2000. Their first tree farm was Royal’s childhood home which they purchased in 1965. Over time, they purchased additional land in Fond du Lac, Trempealeau, Marquette, Adams and Clark counties. With their family, they planted over 100,000 seedlings. In 1989 they hosted the WWOA Annual Meeting field day on their Sawdust Hollow Farm in Fond du Lac county.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Fond du Lac Humane Society, 652 Triangle Road, Fond du Lac, WI 54935 and St. Matthew Catholic Church, PO Box 740, Campbellsport, WI 53010 or online.
