Investing in WWOA – What a great way to make a difference!

Your donations to WWOA make a difference! They help us provide more educational materials, workshops, and events to better serve woodland owners across Wisconsin. Your donations will assist us in reaching other woodland owners with the sustainable forestry message and provide additional opportunities for learning. WWOA gratefully acknowledges donations of any size. WWOA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, charitable organization, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Please note: If you are making your donation in honor or in memory of someone special, acknowledgment card information can be submitted on the PayPal Donation Confirmation Page by completing the “Add Special Instructions to Recipient” with your gift details.

WWOA accepts many forms of donations such as IRA charitable distributions, stocks, bonds, in kind – contact the WWOA office or call 715-572-4223.

We offer a variety of ways for you to support WWOA’s efforts

Invest in WWOA’s Heritage Fund 

WWOA’s Heritage Fund is a quasi-endowment fund, for IRS and accounting purposes, it is a board-designated fund that acts like an endowment fund but lacks external donor restrictions. The WWOA Board under an approved fund charter document manages these funds which are set aside for long-term investment and WWOA projects that support the ongoing operations and activities of the Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association Inc.

WWOA encourages you to consider investing in our Heritage Fund, giving future woodland owners the continuing gift of a vibrant WWOA organization to assist them in caring for their woodlands. Your participation is essential to our success! Every gift is important; there is no gift too small or too large to make a difference in WWOA’s future. Donations of any amount are gratefully accepted and acknowledged. WWOA is a 501(c)(3) charity, donations may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Invest in WWOA’s Forestry Leader Scholarship

Consider your woodlands and how your relationship with your forester has helped you shape them over time. By investing in WWOA’s Forestry Leader Scholarship, your dollar goes towards encouraging and supporting the next generation of foresters. The WWOA Forestry Leader Scholarship is awarded to a Wisconsin resident, Junior or Senior student, studying Forest Management at UW-Stevens Point. Help us establish a strong fund base for this scholarship to expand our reach and strengthen our partnership with UW-Stevens Point!

WWOA’s Endowment Fund is managed by the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin (CFCW). Secure online donations can be made through their
website by using this link to Give Now.
Please note: If you are making your donation in honor or in memory of someone special select that option on the CFCW donation form. CFCW website now offers the option to give to WWOA through recurring monthly donation of any size!

WWOA’s Legacy Circle 

Donations to WWOA through your will or estate plans can be made by participating in WWOA’s Living Legacy Circle. The Circle is for donors wishing to look beyond their lifetime by leaving a visible legacy for future woodland owners. To join the Circle, simply designate WWOA or one of WWOA’s funds in your will or estate planning documents. Living Legacy Circle members may remain anonymous or be recognized for a future gift now, if you so choose, giving us the opportunity to thank you for making a difference in WWOA’s future.
