Richard Larsen DVM, Appleton…husband, father, grandfather and veterinarian passed away at age 87 on Tuesday, November 12, 2024. He was employed by the Manawa Veterinary Clinic and later at Dairyland Animal Health in Weyauwega, where he treated large and small animals until his retirement in 1993.
Dick was a life-long Catholic and his faith was very important to him. He was a member of several churches throughout his life including St. Pius X Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. He was also a middle and high school catechism teacher and member of the Knights of Columbus. Dick also took part in several civic organizations such as the Manawa Lions Club and the Town of Wolf River/Winnebago Zoning Committee. As a long-time member of the Weyauwega-Fremont School Board, he was proud to have had the opportunity to personally hand each of his five children their high school diploma.
