COVID-19 & WWOA In Person Activities

The Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association Inc. Board of Directors approved guidance for in person activities starting on May 1, 2021.  To learn more, visit  WWOA Transition Guidance for Re-opening to In Person Activities under COVID-19.

This guidance is to be followed when sponsoring any in person WWOA event during this transition time.  The WWOA Board of Directors will review and may update the policy as needed.

MAY 2023 UPDATE

WWOA’s Board of Directors at their March 9, 2023 meeting, reviewed WWOA’s Transition Guidance for Re-opening to In Person Activities under COVID-19 starting May 1, 2021, that all WWOA in person activities have been operating under.

On May 11, 2023, President Biden will terminate both the public health and national emergencies declared in response to COVID-19.

In light of this, the WWOA Board of Directors, as of May 11, 2023, rescinds WWOA’s Transition Guidance for Re-opening to In Person Activities under COVID-19 starting May 1, 2021 policy. WWOA in person events will follow current local COVID recommendations and guidance for the location where the event is being held.

Registered attendees who are feeling sick or experiencing symptoms of COVID the day of the event, should continue to stay home for everyone’s safety. As a courtesy, if an attendee becomes ill with COVID within a few days of attending an in person WWOA event, the attendee should still notify the sponsor of the WWOA event. The sponsor will then notify attendees of this, without disclosing confidential information.
